Right now, Darlene is inviting sponsors to help them cover the costs of the bands and supplies for activities. If you are interested, please call the Chamber at 828-6238. Also, vendors are welcome.

Cook to Cure BBQ Cook Off Moved to September 10. Yes, you read it right, the Cook to Cure BBQ Cook Off is now on September 10th. You still have a little more time to perfect those grillin’ skills and unlock those “secret” ingredients. The date has been moved to avoid scheduling conflicts we kept running into. There are also a few other changes. The turn in times have been moved earlier; so that means the All-You-Can-Eat is also moved up to lunch. We will have more details for you soon. Proceeds benefit the American Diabetes Association.
Slaton Welcome Landmark - A Community Project For several months a community group has worked to design and plan a landmark to welcome everyone to our community. The design will showcase our pride and the unique personality of Slaton. Visit our Chamber News page for details on the design and how to donate. It's finally coming together and we are in the final stages. Tracks are going up soon. Keep watching. It's great when a plan finally comes together!
So join us in Slaton, where there is always something going on. Slaton, your kind of town.
