SISD is following the CDC recommendations to keep our students and employees safe in this unprecedented environment of COVID-19. Students will have an extended Spring Break and report to school on the morning of March 30. During this next week we will be working with faculty and staff to develop instructional continuity for all of our students in the event that school is suspended for additional days. Parents and employees will receive updates via our Remind 101 messaging system, our district Facebook page, and our district website; Slatonisd.net. Our Board of Trustees and District Administrative Leadership Team are working to assure that breakfast and lunch will be available to every student every day. Distribution instructions will be published through our communication outlets soon. We encourage all of our TIGER parents to take seriously the new norms of social distancing, enhanced hand washing for at least 20 seconds, disinfecting frequently touched surfaces in your home, cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, and stay home when you’re sick. These are proven to prevent the community spread of COVID-19. Thank you for partnering with our school district as we work to maintain a safe system for our students and our community.
